Prenatal Paternity Test (non-invasive)

$1,650.00

Description

Our Certainty™ Prenatal Paternity Test is a safe non-invasive and accurate way to determine paternity during pregnancy, using a simple blood sample from the mother and a cheek swab from the alleged father. This test poses no risk to the mother or baby and offers a significant benefit by providing early confirmation of paternity and can be performed as early as 8 weeks into the pregnancy. This can bring peace of mind during pregnancy and allow expectant parents to make informed decisions early on, especially when legal or personal matters need to be addressed before the baby is born. Results in 5-10 business days. 2 participants required

Once your payment is processed, you will immediately receive an email with instructions on how to register and book your appointment.  Be sure to have your ID and Legal Documents (if required).

How to Prepare for a Blood Draw

The Night Before:

  • Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water the day and evening before your blood draw to ensure your veins are more accessible for the draw.
  • Get a Good Night’s Sleep:  Restful sleep can help you feel calm and reduce stress, which can make the process smoother.

The Day of the Blood Draw:

  • Continue Hydrating: Drink water before your appointment, but avoid excessive caffeine as it can dehydrate you.
  • Eat a Healthy Meal: Unless instructed otherwise by your healthcare provider, eat a light meal before your appointment. Avoid fatty or sugary foods as they can affect some blood test results.
  • Wear Comfortable Clothing: Wear clothing with sleeves that can be easily rolled up.

By following these steps, you can ensure a smooth process and the best possible results from your blood draw.

How a Buccal Swab Works

A buccal swab is a simple, non-invasive procedure used to collect DNA from the inside of your cheek. The swab is rubbed gently against the inside of your cheek to collect cells that contain your unique DNA.

How to Prepare for a Buccal Swab

  • Rinse Your Mouth: About 30 minutes before your appointment, rinse your mouth with water to remove any food particles.
  • Avoid Eating or Drinking: Do not eat, drink, or smoke at least 30 minutes before the test to ensure the sample is not contaminated.
  • No Oral Care Products: Avoid using mouthwash, brushing your teeth, or chewing gum right before the swab to avoid any interference with the sample.

By following these simple steps, you’ll help ensure that the buccal swab is effective and provides accurate results.
